All throughout the pandemic we heard that there is a chance to “create a new normal”. Have we taken advantage of this opportunity? Are we building the world that we want to live in? Are we advocating within our communities and beyond about what we want to change? Systemically, we are not there. What about personally?
If we are to create the positive future we desire,
we must heal on all levels. This includes our personal wounds and self-care, to program shifts and expanded advocacy and civic engagement.
Come with an open heart, mind, and spirit, and join this powerful dialogue between Ayesha and Nadia, each Changemakers with self-care and healing at the center of their beliefs about how together we will create a “new normal”:
- Explore how to center healing in our lives and our work with youth, families, and our communities.
- Practice self-care tips and tricks.
- Discuss how together we can advocate for results that positively impact our communities and build a stronger sense of civic engagement.
Everything we discuss will support us as individuals/professionals and the youth and families with whom we work.
Let's make this a year for healing on all levels!
