Janet Moses, Director of Caste in the Classroom: Education for Second Class Citizenswill join us to engage in conversation about the recent video produced by Data for Better Schools and the Young People's Project. "The demand for black and brown teachers will never be met as long as black and brown children are segregated along academic pathways that provide sharecropper skills." Caste raises the questions: Can we build a homegrown pipeline of highly-qualified teachers who believe their students can be excellent? The current system is designed to protect the caste system. so can we redesign and break the caste system?
