Telesha Mervin

Telesha Mervin was born in South Carolina, raised in Boston, and for the last 17 years has resided in Cambridge, Mass. She is a mother of four: two teenagers, one elementary student, and one toddler. Telesha has 20 years of professional work with a focus on serving youth and families. Her expertise ranges from education to mental health, juvenile justice, foster care, and community advocacy. Telesha is a founding member of the Women of Action Program out of the Women's Center in Cambridge. She is a former board member of the Community Art Center of Cambridge, currently serves on the boards of the Tenant Association and Margaret Fuller House, and has served on multiple committees throughout the area. Telesha is a proud graduate of Roxbury Community College, now enrolled in pursuit of a degree in Social Work at University of Massachusetts Boston. She currently serves as the Executive Director of Kennedy Longfellow Community School
